Before your appointment
Do I need a doctor's referral to see a physiotherapist?+
No referral is needed. You can book directly with Jayne. If you have a referral letter from your GP or specialist, please bring it along — it helps with context and medical aid claims.
What should I bring to my first appointment?+
Bring your medical aid card and any relevant X-rays, scans, or specialist reports. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being treated. Allow about 60 minutes for your initial assessment.
Do you accept medical aid?+
Yes. Jayne is registered with most major medical aid schemes. Please contact us to confirm that your specific plan is covered before your appointment. Private rates are also available.
What are your consulting hours?+
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 08:00 – 17:00. Wednesday: 08:00 – 15:00. Closed weekends and public holidays. Book online at jaynephysio.bookem.com or call 072 159 2451.
How many sessions will I need?+
This depends on your condition, its severity, and your goals. Jayne will give you a realistic treatment outlook at your first appointment. Most acute conditions improve significantly within 4 – 8 sessions.
What is clinical Pilates and how is it different from regular Pilates?+
Clinical Pilates is delivered by a trained physiotherapist who can modify exercises to your specific injury or condition. It is individually tailored, evidence-based, and focused on rehabilitation — not just fitness. It is an excellent complement to hands-on physiotherapy.
Do you treat children and teenagers?+
Yes. Jayne treats patients of all ages, including children and adolescents dealing with growing pains, sports injuries, and postural issues.
